We have an active middle school and high school youth ministry with programming that includes weekly scripture-centered youth time on Sunday mornings during the school year, camps and retreats, opportunities to serve in our communities, and local and regional activities just for fun. We make it a priority to engage young people in worship. Many of the youth at St Paul assist in worship in a variety of ways. We have a Youth Committee that meets about once a month with a meal. The committee includes young people ages 8 - 20 and is youth-led with adult supervision. This group has an annual budget and plans youth ministry events and programs. If you are interested, please call the church office, 815-288-2757, or contact the children, youth and family ministries director at youth@stpauldixon.org.

CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is a 3-year faith formation and Christian education ministry program for youth entering 6th grade through high school. The class meets during the months of September – May. For a current class/events schedule and locations, please contact the St Paul church office at 815-288-2757. St. Paul collaborates with Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon for the confirmation ministry. Through the confirmation program, youth and their parents/guardians are encouraged, enriched and inspired to listen to God’s call for them in life. We focus on studying the Old Testament Bible during year 1 of the program, New Testament Bible for year 2 and focus on Luther’s Small Catechism during year 3.
Most young people attend confirmation around their 6th or 7th grade years of school. However, all youth 6th -12th grades are invited to participate.
Upon completion, confirmation students will make a public affirmation of their baptism during a celebration in worship.
For information, please contact the church office @ 815-288-2757 and ask to speak with a pastor pastor@stpauldixon.org or the children, youth and family ministries coordinator, youth@stpauldixon.org.
